SPU Industries today is known for its quality in the field of textile hosiery garments printing industries. It started in 1981 under the name "Colorist Hosiery Garment Printing" led by Mr. S. Prabhu and his father Mr. N. Sivaraj.
The photoprint system comprising CMYK was first developed and successfully implemented by my father's efforts on clothes, besides on papers, initially in India. The first image was printed on screen as a full picture of Pope John Paul on T-shirts, in honor of his visit to Chennai in 1978.
Afterward, as our second venture in the colorist printing industry, we produced CMYK photoprint images of large sizes (55 cm x 45 cm) of the then Chief Minister candidate Ms. J. Jayalalitha on textile woven cloths.
These printed banners were distributed to all districts of Tamil Nadu. Consequently, CMYK photo prints started gaining popularity in textile woven cloth advertisement banners.
In 1988, we conducted an experiment with Sublimation Transfer Printing and succeeded in it. Between 1986 and through our colorist printing industry, we led the way in reactive print and discharge prints, considering it a challenge and taking our first step in hosiery fabrics.
In 1997, this venture evolved into a textile and hosiery garment printing chemicals manufacturing industry. In the realm of hosiery garment printing, amidst great inventions, ALFHEX INKS stands at the pinnacle. This printing ink features, which we feel are proven and privileged to introduce to the world of hosiery garment printing industries.

The ALFHEX INKS contain opaque microspheres formulated to produce a discharge effect on textile and hosiery garment fabrics. They can achieve cost savings, energy savings, manpower savings, and huge production outputs without economic loss and environmental burden.
This new discharge printing system is revolutionizing the world of hosiery garment printing. It is distinct from old discharge printing processes that involve etching by harsh chemicals. The new discharge ink called ALFHEX INKS uses a penetration system through overprint processes on base-colored dyed fabrics, melange fabrics and over-dyed melange fabrics.
ALFHEX INKS are known as "TRANSFORMER INK" and "SOLOIST TRANSFORMER INK" in the textile and hosiery garment printing industry. This product is made from specialty substances through technical collaboration with two of the world's biggest names in process chemicals.
